Pippin and I met at Camp Mystic in Hunt, TX well over fifteen years ago. Some might find it hard to believe that life long friendships can be formed at summer camp, but at Camp Mystic that is just part of the experience. : ) Our friendship has gone far beyond the gates and campfires at Mystic, and Pippin is one of my very best friends to this day. We have since lived together in three different houses in Dallas, traveled all over the US (and beyond) together, and she will be in my wedding in Paso Robles on July 5th (this will be her second visit to Paso with the Armstrongs).
This weekend I had the pleasure of serving as a bridesmaid in her wedding to Alex Hinton in Telluride, CO. To say this wedding was beautiful would be a drastic understatement; it was perfect. To watch your best friend marry the man of her dreams against the backdrop of the snow-capped Rocky Mountains is truly a gift from God. I could not be happier for the Hintons, and we were so excited to toast the wedding weekend and this special couple with a case of 2011 Estate Blend. 2011 was the year Pippin and Alex met, so this vintage and this wine were the perfect fit for the Thursday night festivities. Cheers to a lifetime of Epoch moments, Alex and Pippin!!
