 46% Viognier | 40% Grenache Blanc | 14% Roussanne
Fermented cool in concrete eggs, concrete tulips, and barrels with weekly batonnage. 15% skin contact. No malolactic fermentation.
Aged five months Sur Lie in 61% concrete, 30% Neutral oak barrels, and 9% new once-used barrels

The 2015 Epoch White is made from mostly Grenache Blanc and Viognier, yet has 14% Roussanne in the blend. Aged five months on lees (a mix of concrete, neutral barrels and 9% new barrels), it offers impressive notes of citrus rind, white flowers and saline-like minerality in its fresh, tight, crisp and downright classy profile. 2014 White

Catapult and Paderewski Vineyards, Paso Robles
52% Viognier | 48% Grenache Blanc
Fermented in two French concrete eggs, two concrete Italian tulips, stainless steel, and neutral oak barrels. Skin contact on one contributing lot of Viognier for 24 hours. No malolactic fermentation.
Aged five months Sur Lie in 42% concrete, 31% stainless steel barrels and 27% Neutral oak barrels

Always a beautiful white, the 2014 Epoch White is a blend of 52% Viognier and 48% Grenache Blanc that was raised in a combination of concrete eggs, stainless steel and neutral oak. Seeing a touch of skin contact and no malolactic fermentation, it has pretty notes of white peach, lemon, honeysuckle and a touch of minerality to go with a bright, juicy, clean and lively feel on the palate. It gains a touch of richness with time in the glass, but it's more fresh than rich. It will drink nicely for 1-3 years. - August 2015 (Jeb Dunnuck)

Light yellow-gold. Complex, high-pitched aromas of fresh citrus and pit fruits and jasmine, with a mineral nuance building in the glass. Penetrating and pure, showing excellent focus to its Anjou pear and orange zest flavors underscored by a hint of chalk. A beautiful white that’s made from 47% Grenache Blanc, 45% Viognier and the balance Roussanne, the 2013 White offers clean, classy notes of apple blossom, citrus rind and salty minerality to go with a medium-bodied, balance and nicely focused feel on the palate. The 2012 Epoch White is fantastic blend... from the Catapult and Paderewski vineyards.  It brings gorgeous aromas and flavors of tropical fruits, vanilla, melon, stony mineral, white blossom, white pepper and dew notes.  It has a wonderful rich texture that is balanced by just the right touch of acidity.  This is a delicious wine that should develop nicely over the next few years. Half of this wine was raised in concrete eggs and the rest in neutral oak and stainless steel):  Light yellow.  Fresh citrus fruits and pear skin on the pungent, mineral-tinged nose.  Juicy, palate-coating orchard fruit flavors show very good depth and pick up a bitter quinine nuance with air.  Honey and floral notes emerge on the clinging finish.  This hefty but lively wine will be extremely flexible at the table. – November/December 2013 (Josh Raynolds)
