It is hard to believe, but our current Tasting Room is modular space, and a temporary one at that (in case you didn’t know, modular space is a fancy name for single-wide trailer). When designing this structure in 2010, our architect, Steve George, worked diligently to create a welcoming and fun atmosphere for guests - a space that would incorporate our love of modern architecture with the rustic touches that compliment their York Mountain surroundings. (If you haven’t caught on, we are all about our modern-meets-rustic buildings slipping seamlessly into our surroundings.) We don’t know about you, but we feel Steve nailed it with our temporary Tasting Room!
Upon entering this space, you are greeted with sweeping views of the diverse mountain range we call home. This open-concept integrates a mix of materials, including sleek stainless steel counters, rustic cork floors, and welcoming leather chairs near the fireplace. Our ever-swanky red cabinets are just a few of the pops of red you will find throughout the room. Sprinkled throughout are historical relics to showcase the pioneering past of both Paderewski and the York Family.
In the summer of 2015, our new (and permanent) Tasting Room (this one won’t have wheels, we promise) will open on the original site of the historic York Mountain Winery. Though adjacent to where our current Tasting Room is located now, we are beyond excited to see history come back to life while donning many modern twists in this updated space. Our current Tasting Room will then be transformed into another awesome and welcoming space.
If you are headed out to visit us, which we hope you are, be sure to check out all you need to know about visiting us on our Tasting Room page.
